This hand that holds the fire is the hand from which springs the spark that lights the first caves, but also the one that guides us through a love in the process of being written, revealing each stage of its story in the light of a world on the run.
From its birth in the heart of the city to its landing point on the edge of a frozen lake, Tom Saja traces the contours of this love on the map and in time, taking us wherever the light blazes and where red and white spread, in an elsewhere where desires are starved, where volcanoes overflow and where the bodies that give life pass it on like a torch..

Our time on Earth will last for a while
nameless stripped of its petals
he will burn with this dull fever which arises
in front of the unspeakable
I'll go take a warm bath
which I will only pay in cash
when the water goes away
of our tributary sinks
of our cut-throat bathtubs
we will pay off our debts
of our sorrows and our dreams
everything will fit in a pocket handkerchief
