Carried by an energetic and committed voice, this collection dissects a world in which the narrator gradually sees his body slipping away and becoming depopulated. Evoking a youth where doubts and anxieties overwhelmed him, he takes the opposite path: repopulating the voids and overflows of his history, in order to write the one he delivers here in a song that sometimes resonates like a cry.

Matthieu Lorin was born in 1981 in Normandy and today lives in Chartres. He has published several collections including Souvenirs et grillages (Éditions Sous le Sceau du Tabellion, 2022) which was preselected for the 2022 Apollinaire Découverte prize.

Excerpt :
“I inherited what I am not: a house, a job, a defect. The balances are destroyed by severe frost, that's all.
I will brush against grass and barbed wire, face dry speech. Cartridges deep in pockets, like a careless swimmer . »
